Nailsea

Nailsea is a commuter family town with a population of approximately 18,000. Situated about 8 miles to the South West of Bristol. Nailsea shares its railway station with the village of Backwell giving direct access to both Bristol and London. Nailsea has a secondary school which recently achieved Technology and Media Arts College specialist status. Nailsea also has several infants, junior and primary schools including Kings Hill C of E, Golden Valley, Hannah More Infants, St. Francis Catholic School and Grove School. There are also several playgroups as well as a special needs school: Ravenswood. Nailsea' shopping centre provides a range of services, including High Street Banks, Building Societies, cafes, sport centres and clubs, hairdressers, newsagents, bookshops and clothing retailers to name a few. There are also family health centres, dentists and opticians available. There are a wide variety of residential properties within Nailsea appealing to virtually all tastes and needs from some of the original village cottages through to a number of executive home developments. Backwell is a suburban village and civil parish in Somerset. It falls within the Unitary Authority of North Somerset and has a population of 5,455. It is 7 miles South West of Bristol, on the A370 to Weston-Super-Mare. It includes the hamlets of Backwell Common, Backwell Green and Farleigh and the district of West Town.
