Nailsea & Backwell
Nailsea is a commuter family town with a population of approximately 18,000. Situated about 13 km to the South West of Bristol.
Nailsea shares its railway station with Backwell situated between the two on Station Road.
Nailsea has a secondary school, Nailsea Comprehensive School, which recently achieved Technology and Media Arts College specialist status. Nailsea also has several infants, junior and primary schools including Kings Hill C of E, Golden Valley, Hannah More Infants, St. Francis Catholic School and Grove School. There are also several playgroups as well as a special needs school: Ravenswood.
Nailsea’s shopping centre provides a range of services, including High Street Banks, Building Societies, cafes, sport centers and clubs, hairdressers, newsagents, bookshops and clothing retailers to name a few. These are all accessible through car parks which are available within the town, helping serve a town of this size. There are also family health centres, dentists and opticians available.
There are a wide variety of residential properties within Nailsea appealing to virtually all tastes and needs from some of the original village cottages through to a number of executive home developments.
